Pensana Metals Ltd (ASX:PM8) has hit high grade intersections at the Longonjo neodymium-praseodymium project located in an infrastructure-rich region of Angola.

The diamond drill infill programme has confirmed previous reverse circulation drilling results in an area of mineralisation which is the focus of the pre-feasibility study due in September.

Particularly high grades of neodymium-praseodymium oxide (NdPr) were intersected from surface. In addition, high grade fresh rock mineralisation was intersected over a large area immediately below the weathered zone.

Among the better intercepts were 12 metres at 11.6% REO (rare earths oxides) including 1.82% NdPr from surface, 10 metres at 9.13% REO including 1.53% NdPr from surface and 22 metres at 5.40% REO including 1.09% NdPr from surface.
