Defense Metals Begins Water Study at Rare Earth Project

Advanced mineral exploration Company Defense Metals Corp. (TSX-V: DEFN, OTCQB: DFMTF, Forum) announced on Wednesday that it had initiated a baseline surface water assessment comprising field-based hydrology and water quality data collection for Its 1,708 hectare (4,220 acre) Wicheeda Rare Earth Element Carbonatite Deposit located near Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. DEFN added that the baseline surface water assessment will comprise of both hydrology and surface water quality programs. A total of eight hydrology stations are recommended within the Wicheeda REE Deposit study area in order to evaluate potential mine effects on surface water quantity

Recently, DEFN closed the first tranche of its non-brokered private placement, consisting of 3,460,000 flow-through units at a price of $0.25 per FT Unit for gross proceeds of $865,000. The proceeds will be used to complete the flotation pilot plant at the Wicheeda project by the end of July 2020, with initial results expected in August 2020.
